The AirCurve 10 ASV (Certified Pre-Owned) is an adaptive servo-ventilation device prescribed for obstructive sleep apnea, central and/or mixed apneas and periodic breathing in patients over 66 lb. It learns your recent minute ventilation and adjusts pressure support breath by breath; in ASVAuto it also auto-adjusts EPAP. It includes an integrated heated HumidAir humidifier and works with ClimateLineAir tubing. American Oxygen inspects, tests and reconditions each unit, installs a new filter, and backs it with a 1-year warranty by American Oxygen — not the manufacturer. A prescription is required, and ASV is contraindicated in chronic symptomatic heart failure (NYHA 2–4) with LVEF ≤ 45% and predominant central sleep apnea. I have heart failure. Can I use ASV?
Not without your cardiologist’s clearance. ASV is contraindicated in chronic symptomatic heart failure (NYHA 2–4) with LVEF ≤ 45% and moderate to severe predominant central sleep apnea. Ask the clinician who prescribed it before you buy.
What does Certified Pre-Owned mean?
Each unit is inspected, tested and reconditioned by our technicians, fitted with a new filter, and backed by a 1-year warranty by American Oxygen. Low hours, cleaned and sanitised.
Is the warranty from the manufacturer?
No. The 1-year warranty is provided by American Oxygen, not the manufacturer. If you want the full 2-year factory warranty, buy the new AirCurve 10 ASV or the AirCurve 11 ASV instead — we sell all three.
Why doesn’t CPAP work for central apnea?
Obstructive apnea is a blocked pipe — air pressure alone can splint it open, which is why CPAP works. Central apnea is different: the airway is clear, but the signal to breathe doesn’t arrive. Pressure alone does nothing for that. ASV notices the missing breath and supplies the support for it.
Do I need a prescription?
Yes. ASV is a prescription device and the settings must come from your clinician. Masks, tubing and filters ship without a prescription.
Which mask should I use with it?
Most ASV users end up in a full face mask, because the pressures are higher and mouth leak breaks the therapy. Add one here at 10% off, or call us and we’ll pick it with you.
