ASV therapy is CONTRAINDICATED in patients with chronic, symptomatic heart failure (NYHA class 2–4) with reduced left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF ≤ 45%) and moderate to severe predominant central sleep apnea.

The AirCurve 10 ASV (part 37215) is an adaptive servo-ventilation device prescribed for obstructive sleep apnea, central and/or mixed apneas and periodic breathing in patients over 66 lb. It learns your recent minute ventilation and adjusts pressure support breath by breath; in ASVAuto mode it also auto-adjusts EPAP to keep the upper airway open. It includes integrated HumidAir humidification and works with ClimateLineAir heated tubing for Climate Control. A prescription is required, and ASV is contraindicated in chronic symptomatic heart failure (NYHA 2–4) with LVEF ≤ 45% and predominant central sleep apnea — confirm with your clinician first. It ships from Doral, FL with a 2-year manufacturer warranty, and you can add a compatible mask at 10% off.

I have heart failure. Can I use ASV?
Not without your cardiologist’s clearance. ASV is contraindicated in chronic symptomatic heart failure (NYHA 2–4) with LVEF ≤ 45% and moderate to severe predominant central sleep apnea. This is a real safety limit. Ask the clinician who prescribed it before you buy.
How is ASV different from a BiPAP?
A bilevel machine gives you two fixed pressures — one to breathe in, one to breathe out. ASV changes the support continuously, targeting the ventilation you were achieving a few minutes ago. When your breathing fades it gives more; when you’re breathing well it backs off, so it doesn’t over-ventilate you.
Why doesn’t CPAP work for central apnea?
Obstructive apnea is a blocked pipe — air pressure alone can splint it open, which is why CPAP works. Central apnea is different: the airway is clear, but the signal to breathe doesn’t arrive. Pressure alone does nothing for that. ASV notices the missing breath and supplies the support for it.
Do I need a prescription?
Yes. ASV is a prescription device and the settings must come from your clinician. Masks, tubing and filters ship without a prescription — only the machine requires one.
Which mask should I use with it?
Most ASV users end up in a full face mask, because the pressures are higher and mouth leak breaks the therapy. But it depends on how you sleep. Add one here at 10% off, or call us and we’ll pick it with you — the mask is where this therapy succeeds or fails.
Can I travel with it?
It’s a home device with a humidifier, not a travel unit. There is no travel-sized ASV — if you fly often, talk to your clinician about what to do on the road.
