If your veterinarian just told you your dog or cat needs oxygen at home, you should not have to wait for a box to ship. We keep pet oxygen chambers and concentrators in stock in Miami, deliver them in our own vehicle, and set the kit up with you in person.
We answer in English and Spanish. Rentals are arranged by phone — our online checkout can't handle the deposit.
Thank you so much for helping me with my dog. You brought everything super fast, and the service was excellent!Mirtha, Miami · Verified customer review
American Oxygen rents home pet oxygen kits across Miami-Dade, Broward, Homestead and the Florida Keys. Each kit includes an oxygen chamber, an oxygen concentrator and the tubing that connects them, for a flat $300 with the 5L concentrator or $400 with the 10L — the chamber is included in the rental rather than sold separately. The chambers are kept in stock in Miami and delivered in the company’s own vehicle, usually the same day, and set up in person with the owner. A veterinarian’s prescription is required. Delivery costs $40–$70 depending on the address. The chamber fits small and medium dogs and cats, but not large breeds. Rentals are arranged by phone at (786) 755-8063.
The real moment
Almost nobody researches pet oxygen on a calm Sunday afternoon.
They look for it the evening a veterinarian says the words “your dog needs supplemental oxygen at home,” or after a discharge from an emergency visit, or when a cat with asthma has a bad night and the family realizes this is going to keep happening.
That is the moment this service exists for. Not to replace your veterinarian — they decide the therapy — but to make sure that once they have decided, the equipment is in your living room tonight instead of on a truck somewhere.
The comparison that matters
This is the part worth reading slowly, because it is where most people get surprised.
When a national company advertises a monthly price for pet oxygen, that price is normally for the concentrator. The chamber — the actual enclosure your pet goes in — is usually sold separately, and it costs several hundred dollars. So the number you saw is not the number you pay.
Our price is one number and it includes both, plus the tubing, plus delivery and setup. Compare the total, not the headline.
And if your pet’s situation is stable and you have a week to plan, ordering by mail is a perfectly reasonable thing to do — we will tell you that on the phone if it is true for you. If your veterinarian told you tonight, call us.
What you get
A grey fabric body with clear panels at the front and on both sides, so you can see your pet from any angle. A zip on top and a zip at the front make getting in and out unhurried.
Your choice of a 5L or 10L unit. It plugs into a normal wall outlet and makes oxygen from room air, so there is no tank to refill and nothing to swap out.
The piece that joins the concentrator to the chamber — already fitted and tested before it leaves.
We connect it in your home and stay until you have set it up yourself once, with your pet inside.
The accessories that come packed with chambers like this one are, frankly, not great. That is exactly why we set it up in person rather than mailing it: we show you the way that actually works with your pet, and we adjust it in front of you.
Price
Flat means flat. It is not a daily rate and not a weekly rate, so nothing is running up while you are focused on your pet. A refundable deposit may apply and we confirm it on the call.
Which concentrator size your pet needs is your veterinarian’s decision. Tell us what they told you and we will bring the matching one.
The number-one question
Cats, French bulldogs, shih tzus, dachshunds, pugs, beagle-sized dogs — small and medium dogs generally.
Labradors, german shepherds, golden retrievers and other large breeds. We would rather tell you here than at your door. If you have a large dog, ask your veterinarian what they can do in-clinic.
Not sure? Call with your pet’s weight and breed. We will tell you honestly, even when the answer is no.
Cats
Cat owners are a large share of the people who rent this kit, and they are usually the ones who had the hardest time finding anything useful online.
Cats fit very comfortably in the chamber — better than most dogs, in fact. For families managing a cat with a chronic respiratory condition, having the equipment at home rather than driving to a clinic during every episode is often the entire point.
As always: your veterinarian decides whether oxygen is appropriate for your cat and how it should be used. We supply the equipment, deliver it, and set it up.
Some of the families who call us are not treating something. They are making an old or very sick animal comfortable for whatever time is left, at home, surrounded by their people instead of under clinic lights.
If that is where you are, you can say so on the phone and we will handle it accordingly: quickly, quietly, without a sales conversation. We will bring the equipment, set it up, and get out of your way.

Coverage
Our warehouse is in Doral, which is why same-day is realistic for most of this area rather than a slogan. Delivery runs $40–$70 depending on the distance, and we tell you the exact number on the call before we go anywhere.
Outside this area we cannot deliver a rental kit, and we will say so rather than take your money.
Frequently asked questions
Tell us your pet’s weight and breed, and what your veterinarian told you. In two minutes you will know whether this fits, what it costs, and when we can be there. If the answer is that we are not the right fit for you, we will say that too.
