Under-the-nose seal

Nothing across the bridge of your nose means no red marks and no morning soreness in the spot that usually gets it.

Why this matters more than it sounds. The most common reason a CPAP mask gets abandoned is a bad seal, and the most common reason for a bad seal is the wrong cushion size. Cushion size has nothing to do with how big you are — it’s the shape of your face. Having every size in the box removes the guess, and the return.

A nasal mask seals around the nose, not inside it. It spreads the pressure over more surface than pillows do, which is why many people find it more comfortable at higher prescribed pressures — as long as you breathe through your nose while you sleep.

Will it fit my machine?

Standard connection — no adapter, no proprietary parts.

The DreamWear Under Nose uses the universal 22 mm hose connection, so it works with standard CPAP and BiPAP machines. The one exception across our whole mask range is the AirMini, which needs its own mask-family setup pack — if that’s your machine, call us before you order.

This is genuine original equipment — not a copy and not a compatible-brand cushion. Masks, cushions, headgear and tubing don’t require a prescription in the U.S. — only the CPAP or BiPAP machine does. A copy cushion never seals like the original, and on a mask, sealing is the entire job.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a prescription for this mask?

No. Masks, cushions, headgear, tubing and filters ship without a prescription. Only the CPAP or BiPAP machine itself requires one.

Under-the-nose or over-the-nose — which seals better?

Over-the-nose gives you a bigger sealing surface, which some people need at high pressures. Under-the-nose removes the nasal-bridge pressure that makes people quit. If marks are your problem, start here.

Can I swap cushions on this frame later?

Yes. The DreamWear frame takes the under-the-nose cushion, the full nasal cushion, gel pillows and silicone pillows. Buy the frame once and change cushions as your needs change.

Nasal or nasal pillows — which one?

If you breathe through your nose and your pressure is on the higher side, a nasal mask usually feels steadier. If you have a beard, wear glasses in bed, or feel closed in, nasal pillows are usually the better fit. Call us and we’ll talk it through.

Will it work with my CPAP?

Yes, if your machine uses the standard 22 mm hose connection — which nearly all do. The exception is the AirMini, which requires its own setup pack. Call us if that’s your machine.

It leaks. What do I do first?

Loosen the headgear, don’t tighten it — over-tightening deforms the cushion and makes leaks worse. Reseat it with the machine running, and if it still leaks, try the next size. Still stuck? Call us.
