MicroPillows Cushion — Adaptive Seal, Minimal Contact

The mask uses Fisher & Paykel’s MicroPillows cushion system. The soft silicone cushions rest gently within the nostrils and self-inflate to conform to the contours of your nose, forming a reliable seal without pressing hard on the skin. Because the cushions sit just inside the nares rather than over the full nose bridge, the mask leaves your field of vision clear and reduces the potential for facial pressure marks or skin irritation.

The cushions attach to a compact, low-profile frame that rests close to the face — this design enhances stability and limits the leverage effect that can pull a larger mask out of position when you roll over during sleep.

Lightweight Design and Freedom of Movement

At under 1.4 oz, the Nova Micro is light enough that many users report a near-invisible wearing experience. The mask frame includes a 360-degree swivel elbow where the short tube connects, allowing the hose to rotate freely as you change sleep positions without breaking the seal or creating tubing drag. Laser-drilled vents in the frame diffuse exhaled air to reduce noise during therapy.

The one-size headgear attaches with a simple strap-and-post system and includes dual-sided velcro adjustments so you can fine-tune the fit on each side independently. Stretchable rear straps accommodate a wide range of head shapes without requiring a separate headgear size selection. Cleaning and Replacement Schedule

Fisher & Paykel recommends the following care routine:

• Daily: Wash the MicroPillows cushion, mask frame, and short tube with warm water and mild soap; rinse well and air dry away from direct sunlight.
• Weekly: Wash the headgear with warm water and mild detergent; rinse and lay flat or hang to dry.

Replace cushions when you notice wear, loss of seal, or discoloration. Replace headgear every six months or when the fabric has stretched out. The F&P myMask app (available on iOS and Android) provides fitting guides, video instructions, and ongoing care reminders.

Compatibility

The Nova Micro connects to standard CPAP and BiPAP machines via a 22 mm tubing connector, which is compatible with most PAP devices on the market. ResMed AirMini users require a separate AirMini tubing adapter and a non-heated hose. If you are unsure about connector compatibility with your specific machine, contact our team before ordering.

Warranty

Fisher & Paykel Healthcare warrants this mask against defects in workmanship and materials for 90 days from the date of purchase, when used in accordance with the instructions for use. Warranty claims require proof of purchase. Foams and material diffusers are excluded from coverage.
