Why the DreamWear Gel Pillows

Gel moulds to the contours of your nostrils more readily than silicone, sealing gently instead of pressing back. It’s the pick when silicone pillows have felt hard or left marks.

Why this matters more than it sounds. The most common reason a CPAP mask gets abandoned is a bad seal, and the most common reason for a bad seal is the wrong cushion size. Cushion size has nothing to do with how big you are — it’s the shape of your face. Having every size in the box removes the guess, and the return.

Will it fit my machine?

Standard connection — no adapter, no proprietary parts.

The DreamWear Gel Pillows uses the universal 22 mm hose connection, so it works with standard CPAP and BiPAP machines. The one exception across our whole mask range is the AirMini, which needs its own mask-family setup pack — if that’s your machine, call us before you order.

This is genuine original equipment — not a copy and not a compatible-brand cushion. Masks, cushions, headgear and tubing don’t require a prescription in the U.S. — only the CPAP or BiPAP machine does. A copy cushion never seals like the original, and on a mask, sealing is the entire job.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a prescription for this mask?

No. Masks, cushions, headgear, tubing and filters ship without a prescription. Only the CPAP or BiPAP machine itself requires one.

Gel or silicone pillows?

Gel conforms more and presses less, so it’s the usual answer for sensitive nostrils or anyone who’s been leaving the strap too tight. Silicone lasts longer and handles heat and sweat better. Both fit the same DreamWear frame.

How do I clean gel cushions?

Gently — warm water and a mild soap, no alcohol and no scrubbing, then air dry out of direct sunlight. Gel is softer than silicone and harsh cleaners shorten its life noticeably.

I sleep on my side / I have a beard. Is this a good choice?

Yes — nasal pillows are the type we point side sleepers and beards toward. They seal inside the nostrils rather than on your face, so facial hair gets in the way far less and there’s very little surface to break loose when you turn over.

Will it work with my CPAP?

Yes, if your machine uses the standard 22 mm hose connection — which nearly all do. The exception is the AirMini, which requires its own setup pack. Call us if that’s your machine.

It leaks. What do I do first?

Loosen the headgear, don’t tighten it — over-tightening deforms the cushion and makes leaks worse. Reseat it with the machine running, and if it still leaks, try the next size. Still stuck? Call us.
