Q: Is it really that light?

Yes — under 1.4 oz, about 40 grams. It’s Fisher & Paykel’s smallest and lightest PAP mask, and it’s the one we point people toward when a bigger mask has felt claustrophobic.

Q: What does ‘self-inflating’ mean?

As your machine comes up to pressure the MicroPillows expand slightly to match the shape of your nostrils. You get the seal from the air, not from tightening the headgear — which is usually what causes marks and leaks.

Q: I sleep on my side / I have a beard. Is this a good choice?

Yes — nasal pillows are the type we point side sleepers and beards toward. They seal inside the nostrils rather than on your face, so facial hair gets in the way far less and there’s very little surface to break loose when you turn over.

Q: Will it work with my CPAP?

Yes, if your machine uses the standard 22 mm hose connection — which nearly all do. The exception is the AirMini, which requires its own setup pack. Call us if that’s your machine.

Q: It leaks. What do I do first?

Loosen the headgear, don’t tighten it — over-tightening deforms the cushion and makes leaks worse. Reseat it with the machine running, and if it still leaks, try the next size. Still stuck? Call us.

Nasal pillows seal inside the nostrils instead of resting across your face, so there’s no cushion on the bridge of your nose and far less surface to break loose. That’s why they’re usually the right answer for beards, glasses and side sleeping.

Will it fit my machine?

Standard connection — no adapter, no proprietary parts.

The Nova Micro uses the universal 22 mm hose connection, so it works with standard CPAP and BiPAP machines. The one exception across our whole mask range is the AirMini, which needs its own mask-family setup pack — if that’s your machine, call us before you order.
