A nasal mask seals around the nose, not inside it. It spreads the pressure over more surface than pillows do, which is why many people find it more comfortable at higher prescribed pressures — as long as you breathe through your nose while you sleep.

Will it fit my machine?

Standard connection — no adapter, no proprietary parts.

The AirTouch N20 uses the universal 22 mm hose connection, so it works with standard CPAP and BiPAP machines. The one exception across our whole mask range is the AirMini, which needs its own mask-family setup pack — if that’s your machine, call us before you order.

Genuine original equipment — and no prescription needed

This is genuine original equipment — not a copy and not a compatible-brand cushion. Masks, cushions, headgear and tubing don’t require a prescription in the U.S. — only the CPAP or BiPAP machine does. A copy cushion never seals like the original, and on a mask, sealing is the entire job.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a prescription for this mask?

No. Masks, cushions, headgear, tubing and filters ship without a prescription. Only the CPAP or BiPAP machine itself requires one.

Foam or silicone — which should I pick?

Foam if silicone leaves marks or irritates your skin, or if the seal has always felt too firm. Silicone if you sweat a lot at night or want the longest-lasting cushion. The frames are the same, so you can switch cushions later.

How long does a foam cushion last?

Foam cushions wear faster than silicone and are not washed the same way — follow the manufacturer’s cleaning instructions and plan on replacing it more often. Call us and we’ll set you up with replacements.

The clips are magnetic — does that matter?

The manufacturer advises against magnetic headgear clips if you or anyone sharing your bed has an implanted medical device — pacemaker, defibrillator, shunt, cochlear implant or metallic implant. If that applies, tell us and we’ll point you to a magnet-free mask instead.

Nasal or nasal pillows — which one?

If you breathe through your nose and your pressure is on the higher side, a nasal mask usually feels steadier. If you have a beard, wear glasses in bed, or feel closed in, nasal pillows are usually the better fit. Call us and we’ll talk it through.

Will it work with my CPAP?

Yes, if your machine uses the standard 22 mm hose connection — which nearly all do. The exception is the AirMini, which requires its own setup pack. Call us if that’s your machine.

It leaks. What do I do first?

Loosen the headgear, don’t tighten it — over-tightening deforms the cushion and makes leaks worse. Reseat it with the machine running, and if it still leaks, try the next size. Still stuck? Call us.
