This cushion fits the AirFit P30i frame, and it’s interchangeable with the cushions of the AirFit N30i and AirTouch N30i frames. On the AirTouch N30i it swaps that mask’s fabric cushion for silicone pillows — it isn’t the AirTouch N30i’s own replacement cushion. The manufacturer doesn’t list it for any other mask, such as the AirFit P10. On AirSense, AirCurve and S9 machines, the mask setting for this cushion is Pillows. Using a different mask? If you’re choosing for the first time, the manufacturer doesn’t size these pillows by nose shape: its advice is to try the sizes and keep the one that’s most comfortable and seals best. If your Starter Pack came with more than one size, the one you ended up using is your size. Not sure? Call us before you order.

How do I clean it?

After each use, soak it in warm water with a mild liquid detergent, making sure no air bubbles are trapped; wash it by hand with a soft, non-metallic brush, such as a soft toothbrush; rinse it under running water; and let it air dry out of direct sunlight. Don’t put it in a dishwasher or washing machine. The manufacturer hasn’t validated ozone or UV cleaners and says they can discolor or damage the cushion.

How often should I replace it?

The user guide doesn’t set a fixed interval: replace the cushion when you see cracking, crazing or tears. The every-two-weeks or once-a-month schedules you may have heard of come from insurance and resupply programs, not from the user guide. Keeping a spare in your size means a torn cushion never catches you without one.

Pillows or cradle — can I use the N30i cushion on my P30i frame?

Yes. The manufacturer lists the AirFit P30i, AirFit N30i and AirTouch N30i cushions as interchangeable, so the same frame takes either one. The P30i pillows seal inside your nostrils; the N30i cradle cushion sits under your nose instead. Sizes don’t carry over from one to the other: the pillows come in S, M and L, the cradle in S, M, SW and W.

Will it fit my mask frame?

The cushion attaches to your mask frame, not to the machine. If your mask is an AirFit P30i, AirFit N30i or AirTouch N30i, it fits — no other mask is listed for it. On AirSense, AirCurve and S9 machines, set the mask type to Pillows. Not sure what you have? Call us and we’ll check it with you.

It leaks. What do I do first?

Loosen the headgear, don’t tighten it — over-tightening deforms the cushion and makes leaks worse. Reseat it with the machine running, and if it still leaks, try the next size. Still stuck? Call us.
