The BiWaze Cough Assist System is a modern mechanical insufflation–exsufflation (MI-E) system that simulates a natural cough to clear bronchopulmonary secretions. Each therapy cycle delivers a positive-pressure inhale, a rapid switch to negative-pressure exhale, and a pause (with optional positive pause pressure) to keep airways open between cycles.

Unlike single-blower systems, BiWaze uses two separate blowers (one for inhale, one for exhale) to keep flows distinct — a hygienic approach that helps maintain consistent therapy delivery. You can add oscillations (HFO) to loosen mucus, combine lung-expansion with cough therapy, and tailor cycles using Auto or Manual control.

For mobility, the system offers an internal lithium-ion battery: up to ~2 hours of active therapy per full charge; ~4 h 15 m to recharge; and pass-through charging while on AC power.
