Sunset’s manual indicates it for adults and for children older than 5.

How long does the battery last?

Up to 60 minutes of continuous use on a full charge, and each treatment stops automatically after 10 minutes. When the low-battery warning shows, it takes 1.5 hours to recharge, and it can’t nebulize while charging. Sunset asks you to charge it for at least 30 minutes before the first use. The battery is built in and isn’t user-replaceable.

Does it come with a wall charger?

No. It comes with a micro-USB cable (1 m / 3.3 ft), but no wall adapter. If you use one, Sunset’s manual calls for an IEC 60601-1 certified adapter rated 5.0 V 1.0 A.

Can I use it on a plane?

No. It’s small enough to pack for a trip, but Sunset’s manual states that the device can’t be used on an aircraft.

Does it include a pediatric mask?

The manual lists one mask and one mouthpiece in the box, without saying whether the mask is adult or pediatric size. Sunset sells the adult mask (NEB402-MASKA) and the pediatric mask (NEB402-MASKP) as separate parts. If you need a specific size, call us before you order.

What medication can I use in it?

Only the liquid medication your doctor prescribes, at the dose and schedule your doctor sets. The manual says it isn’t for use with pentamidine. American Oxygen doesn’t provide medical advice.

Mesh or compressor nebulizer: which one should I get?

Both turn liquid medication into a mist. This mesh model fits in your hand and runs on its internal battery, so you don’t need an outlet during the treatment. Most compressor nebulizers plug into the wall and are larger. If your doctor specifies a type of nebulizer, follow that. Is it FDA cleared?

Yes. The NEB402 is covered by FDA 510(k) clearance K182906 (“Portable Mesh Nebulizer”), whose holder is Feellife Health Inc. A 510(k) clearance is not an FDA approval: they’re different FDA pathways.
