Note: This is the external particle filter for the G4. It is not the internal intake filter assembly and not the output filter under the cannula barb.

Installation (Tool-Free)

1. Power off and unplug the G4.

2. Remove the used RP-405 from the intake area.

3. Seat the clean/dry RP-405 flush over the air-intake screen (no gaps).

4. Power on; confirm normal airflow and sound.

1) How often should I clean it?

Weekly under normal use; more often with dust/pets/travel. Always air-dry fully before reinstalling.

2) When do I replace it?

When it’s misshapen, torn, or the mesh is damaged. There’s no fixed month count—replace on condition.

3) Can I run the G4 without this filter?

No. It helps protect the intake. Running without it can allow debris into the device.

4) Is this the same as the output filter (RP-410)?

No. RP-405 is the external particle filter; RP-410 is the output filter under the cannula barb.

5) Does it fit the G5 or Rove 6?

No—this item is G4-specific. Use each model’s designated particle filter.
