Inogen One® G4® Cannula Barb (RP-405)
The Inogen One G4 Cannula Barb (RP-405) is the small outlet nozzle that connects your nasal cannula to the device. A fresh, well-fitting barb helps maintain a tight, reliable seal, reducing the risk of leaks and ensuring your oxygen reaches you—not the room. Because the output filter (RP-410) sits directly beneath the barb, you’ll remove and reseat the barb whenever you change that filter. Keeping a spare on hand makes monthly maintenance fast and frustration-free.
This is a genuine G4 part, designed to install smoothly and hold the cannula firmly without tools or pliers.

Power off the G4.

-
If changing the output filter, remove the old RP-410, insert a new RP-410, fully seated.
-
Press the RP-405 barb straight in until snug. Hand-tight only.
-
Power on; attach your cannula and listen for normal flow (no hissing).

FAQs
1) Do I really need the RP-404 tool?
It’s highly recommended. The tool prevents scratching or deforming the outlet area and makes barb removal quick and safe.
2) How often should I replace the barb?
Only as needed—when it’s cracked, loose, discolored, or won’t hold a secure seal. Inspect it monthly during your RP-410 filter change.
3) Will a new barb fix oxygen leaks at the outlet?
Often yes. Leaks usually come from a worn barb, a loose RP-410 filter, or an ill-fitting cannula. Check all three.
4) Can I clean and reuse the barb indefinitely?
You can wipe it clean and reuse while it stays firm and intact. Replace at the first sign of wear.
5) Is this the same barb used on G5 or Rove 6?
No—this listing is G4-specific. Order the barb that matches your exact model.
